Last Meeting: LaRousse
21 Members & 2 Guests had lunch at LaRousse. The canapÈs was a tasty patÈ with a little gerkin on french bread served with a lovely light pale pink sparkling NV Janz Premium RosÈ. The entrÈe was a controversial crumbed lamb brains (Love ‘em or Hate ‘em) with a delicious garlic & white wine sauce, which was mopped up with the lovely bread. The white wine was a buttery, dry, crisp, typically Margaret River W.A. 2006 Voyager Estate Chardonnay. The main was a medium rare tender eye fillet steak with a cognac & green peppercorn sauce. One of the best steaks we have eaten for a while . The side dishes were lots of fresh vegetables & Pomme de Terre bake. The masked red wine was nicely matured 2005 Skillogalee Basket Pressed Clare Valley Shiraz. The Horse’s arse was won by Ken Camp’s guest, Vince Sorrenti (yes, that Vince Sorrenti). The desert was the orange flavoured Crepe Suzette. The desert wine was a French Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. A lovely cup of coffee finished a nice lunch.

This is our Annual General Meeting. The meeting will be 12 for 12.15 pm.
Aaron’s is one of our better local restaurants. It is a going through a tough time at present so I wish Aaron well & hope his restaurant survives
