This Meeting: Milsons Restaurant
Milsons is well established as one of Sydney’s premier restaurants, located in Kirribilli Village on the lower North Shore.
Milsons has also proved to be a popular dinner destination with locals and tourists alike being awarded one chefs
hat by the Sydney Morning Herald for the last 8 years running. The ambience at Milsons is fresh, modern and relaxed,
the service professional and attentive.
Head chef at Milsons, Lee Kwiez, describes his style as ‘fresh Australian’, a style that is highly regarded and enjoyed by
his customers.
Last Meeting: The Boat House on Blackwattle Bay
Last meeting 17 members 2 guests. We were treated to two great canapés on arrival Blue Eye Trevalla, Sourdough & Tapenade
and Tuna Tartare & Cucumber Roll with Soy & Wasabi which were enjoyed with Pommery Brut N.V. Champagne.
Entrée of Poached West Australian Marron Jerusalem Artichoke Soup & Marron Oil was a great dish and complimented the 2009
Mesh Eden Valley Riesling.
Unfortunately the Vertical tasting of the 1998 and 2004 Glaetzer Barossa Valley Shiraz did not go as well as Ken and I would
have liked.with the Northern Territory Barra Fillet and Waggu Brisket, turnip & turnip puree. and having to wait for the chips and
salad did not help.
The salad of Winter fruits and mulled wine, toffee apple icecream and gingerbread was yum and went well with the muscat
from Zane’s barrel (thanks Zane)
A lot of time and effort went into organizing this meeting – after the service we received, it must be asked, was it worth the
trouble and extra cost to the members?
