This Meeting: 4143 Bistro

4143 Bistro is a new funky lunch spot in the industrial area on Bourke St, Alexandria, a refurb of the Old Factory Cottage, with a timber interior,glass louvres and atrium. Our chef Peter promises a memorable dining experience.

Last Meeting: Omeros on the Beach - 17 starters
The menu description was more than amply covered at the meeting and even later, therefore I’ll just reiterate the menu and wines for those that didn’t attend.

On arrival: Duck pate tartlet and smoked Salmon with a smooth chilled G.H.Mum Brut champagne
Entrées Salt and pepper soft shell mud crab with tempura vegetables
and plum dipping sauce was matched with an Austrian 2009 Pascal Jolivet Sancerre blanc, well done Greg.

Main course Eye fillet steak on mash with vegetables, truffle oil and cabernet sauvignon jus, washed down with a 2000 Tyrells Reserve
Stevens Shiraz, the horses was won by past Member, Ken Withey.

Dessert Sticky date and fig pudding with butterscotch sauce with a delectable Morris classic liqueur Muscat.
A great day was had by all at The Bay.
