The day started with a New Zealand Sparkling, NV Deutz Cuvee Brut accompanied by canapés of cucumber & salmon volovent.
The smoked garlic bread was well received and helped mop up the juices of the grilled king prawns served with watercress
coriander and garlic butter. The potato crisp basket was a great hit. 2008 White Dalrymple Sauvignon Blanc from Pipers River
was refreshing and delicate and showed the touch of the lady winemaker. The rump of Riverina lamb was served on the
rare side of medium with truffle potato puree, baby onions stuffed with mushrooms and sweet kumara cream. The side dish
of steamed vegetables were acceptable. The masked red was magnums of 2000 Tyrrell’s Old Winery shiraz from Heathcote,
Barossa & Hunter regions. The Horse’s Arse was won by treasurer, Peter Rozea. 2008 Brown Bros Orange Muscat + Flora went
well with the desert of blueberry & almond sponge layered with vanilla mascsopone & fruit coulis which was light fresh & sweet.
Another good luncheon. Thanks to Ken Camp for taking on the position of club auditor.

Phillipe has moved Chez Pascal down Rocky Point Road to new premises near Robert Street. He place has a fresh look but
the same friendly feel. I am sure the food will be as good as it always was Phllipe certainly has not lost his enthusiasm and is
opening specially for us.
Visitors are very welcome !
