INVITATION to our ANNIVERSARY MEETING
Our meeting coming up soon on Thursday 3 March 2011 will be both our 250th meeting (including interest and provisional club meetings) and nigh on to our 22nd anniversary of charter night held 15 Mar 1989.
So, although you are of course always welcome back to visit, we are issuing this special invitation for this anniversary meeting, held back at the venue for our Charter Night, Le Sands Restaurant at Brighton-le-Sands. Le Sands has been through an extensive period of refurbishment, and is a top class venue. IF numbers are right, we will have a private space.
We have some things arranged to recognise this milestone, like a complete list of those 250 venues (you always wondered when we visited

Last Meeting: Seaglass Restaurant (Cronulla RSL)
To make people aware of one of those variety of places around that can be taken for granted, some 18 members enjoyed what must be one of the best views around, up the sweep of beaches to Kurnell.
Canapés of crispy pork belly served in asian spoons with a spiced herb dressing honey; and mustard & soy chicken tenderloins skewers were accompanied by Yellowglen Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay.
Entrée Thai beef salad with a spicy dressing was a refreshing start, the salad was particularly crisp and some would have preferred more spice. The white wine was ‘3 Tales’ Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, NZ.
Main course Pan-fried Mullaway with prawn colcannon, crispy leeks in a light bisque, with sides of Rocket, red onion, parmesan & pine-nut salad; and ‘Rosemary roasted’ potatoes. This month a masked WHITE wine, a Peterson’s Chardonnay Hunter Cuvee, being a blend of 2007, 8 & 9 stock, a tricky one. The Horses A was shared by Michael Durkin and Peter Swatosch, followed by Peter James, Ken Camp.
Dessert Summer berry trifle with Cointreau cream was the course that revealed the club kitchen source, and was accompanied by the sticky,Penfolds Cellar Reserve Viognier.

News:Reminder that our March meeting will be our 250th meeting and 22nd anniversary, back at our Charter Night venue – Le Sands. This will be a very special meeting at the very much refurbished Le Sands complex beside Botany Bay. Because this will be special, the RSVP is earlier than normal, so please remember that.
Please invite past members of your acquaintance, and you will find an invitation for them accompanying this notice. Thanks.
