ken Camp ontroduced us to chef Ashley Hughes and his sister Tracey back in Oct. 2000 which
was a super day.
Ashley and Tracey promise to serve a unique menu for us again to enjoy.
Last Meeting: Kalevu Restaurant at Tom Uglys - 15 starters
Another great day at one of the best in the shire. Chef Chris delivered his usual high standard cuisine and culinary delights for us to drool over and enjoy. For those that didn’t show and the ones that don’t remember
On arrival: A trio of excellent canapes, oyster with lime and spanish onion, aricini ball in honey on a witlof leaf with rockmellon and prosciutto were washed down with 2008 Hardys Limited release Pinor Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier sparkling.
Entrées A super serving of prawn tortellini with tomato, lemon & chilli ideally matched with the 2004 Tyrells Edward Semillon
Main course A perfectly prepared twice cooked duck with celeriac uree, pistachio crumble and orange cassia bark glaze, sauteed green beans, beer battered chips and rocket. fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola sald with walnut dressing accompanied with a smooth 2001 St Hugo
cab sav.
Dessert A very rich dark chocolate brulee, pistachio crumble and vanilla bean ice cream with a delectable 2005 Le Trete Du Lys sauterne.
Simply another super day in the shire
