This Meeting: Bistro Moore - Olympic Hotel
Bistro Moore is situated in the Olympic Hotel opposite the football stadium. When the hotel is not hosting the football or cricket fans
Kiwi chef Ben Sitton produces some very good food.
I hope we all enjoy this match of food & wine.

Last Meeting: The Summit - Australia Square
A restaurant that most members had not been to for many years and were pleasantly surprised.
The day started with Jacquart Brut N.V. Champagne with canapés of risotto balls and scallop & prawn spoons.
The entree was the clear favourite of the day. Forest mushroom soup served in a martini glass served with a Petersons Curvee (2006, 2007, 2008) Chardonnay.
The main was aged black angus beef fillet served with a very rich Paris mashed potato and steamed broccoli with roasted hazelnuts.
The masked red was 1999 3 Hills shiraz from Margaret River region in W.A. A very big delicious wine (15.5%) placed in our cellar by past Winemaster, Ken Garrett.
The Horse’s Arse was won by Ryan Turner who gave a very good description. WELL DONE !
The desert was a Death-by-Chocolate affair of dark chocolate mousselini with vanilla bavarian cream.
The dessert wine, Pavillon de la brie - Monbazillac, was a little overpowered by the chocolate but was still a pleasant wine.
A good way to start the year.
