This Meeting: The Summit Restaurant - George Street Sydney
Although Australia Square has been dwarfed by other buildings in the past 40 years, The Summit Restaurant on 47 floor still commands fine views of Sydney & the harbour. As it still revolves at the stately pace of one revolution every hour & 45 mins, we will have an ever changing vista as we dine. Chief Michael Moore took over the Summit in 2007, bringing with him 20 years of experience garnered in some of Europe and Australia’s top restaurants.

Last Meeting: Watercress - Sutherland
The day started with our AGM. The canapé was roast pumpkin arancini was HOT and tasty.
The sparkling was 2003 Clover Hill Pinot Chardonnay from Piper River in Tasmania. The bread was corn & poppyseed damper with chilli butter & Balsamic olive oil. The entrée of salt & pepper although a little tough was flavoursome and accompanied well by 2007 Pikes Clare Valley riesling which was crisp & dry. The main of BBQ beef fillet was received well but the mashed potato was ordinary. The red was out of our cellar, the 1999 Jacaranda Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon. Peter James won the Horse’s Arse – Well Done. Then the storm hit & we had dessert of vanilla bean panacotta, rhubarb compote & sugar candy. And off we go into our 21st year !
